Mr. Luke Crowder, 19, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at a Pensacola hospital. He was a native of Flomaton and a resident of Stanley Crossroads for most of his life. He attended the Baptist church and was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Crowder Jr.; his grandfather, Buck Conway; and an uncle, Ronald “Runt” Conway.
He is survived by his father, Mark T. Crowder Sr. of Andalusia; his mother, Shelia Conway Crowder of Stanley Crossroads; his stepfather, Mark Lewis of Stanley Crossroads; a son, Hunter Ray Johnson of Flomaton; three sisters, Rhonda (Timothy) Rogers of Stanley Crossroads, Candi (William) Sheets of Flomaton, and Elizabeth (Jason) Nikkel of Georgia; his grandparents, Bennie and Rosie Roberson of Stanley Crossroads; an uncle, Leonard Conway of Atmore; an aunt, Sonja Conway of Atmore; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Thompson officiating. Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Eli Odom, Conrad Price, Yancey Zellers, Joe Petty, Timothy Rogers Jr. and Bo Burkett.
