All three BYF teams shut out Gulf Breeze

All three Brewton Youth Football teams scored shutouts against Gulf Breeze White this past weekend.
The Mini-Mites won 6-0 while the Mites won 32-0. The Midgets also won by a score of 32-0.
In the win for the Mini-Mites, the Brewton defense played a tough game holding the Gulf Breeze team to no points for four quarters.
Devonta Bradley, Daguan Johnson, Kedarrius Jenkins, Jacob Oden and Dedvic Bell all played well for Brewton.
Offensively for Brewton, Austin Berry led with over 75 yards rushing and Demonte Jenkins had over 80. The only score came in the fourth quarter with 2:50 left to go in the game when quarterback Joshua Gunter scored on a 25-yard run for the win.
In the win for the Mites, quarterback Kellyn Winn had on outstanding day with over 100 yards and one rushing touchdown for 45 yards.
Winn also had a 40-yard touchdown pass to Anterio Drakeford and Chardian Johnson added the PAT.
Johnson also had a 45-yard touchdown run and Markail Mitchell also had a 70-yard touchdown run. Tamerick Jenkins added a 45-yard run for a touchdown. The defense was led by My'Kail Johnson, Michael Smith, Chris Paul, Davely Miller and Janagon Grace.
In the win for the Midgets, Tiger quarterback McHenry Coleman had a good game with over 100 yards rushing and over 100 yards passing.
Coleman scored his first touchdown in the first quarter and added two in the second quarter. Terry Samuel, Jr. added a 32-yard run for a touchdown The PAT by Corey Carter was good. Later in the second quarter, Coleman hit Derrick Murray, Jr. on a 65-yard touchdown pass to put the game out of reach.
The defense was led by some hard hitting from Jaylon Herbert, Larry Cheatham, Trinady Odom, Cade Castleberry and Lucas Knight.
All teams will play at home this Saturday against Navarre Black. Games begin at 11 a.m. at Brewton Municipal Stadium.
