W.S. Neal Lady Eagle volleyball takes two of three

The W.S. Neal Lady Eagle volleyball team went 2-1 in their recent three games and now are 6-8 thise season.
W.S. Neal beat Monroe County 3-2, lost to are rival UMS-Wright 3-0 and beat B.C. Rain 3-0. W.S. Neal is now 2-2 in area play.
W.S. Neal 3, Monroe County 2
After losing the first two games to the Tigers of Monroe County, the Lady Eagles responded and won three straight to claim the 3-2 win.
In game three, W.S. Neal won 25-18. Caitlyn Blackman led with eight service points and Amanda Crawford led five service points.
In game four, W.S. Neal won 25-19. Brittany Revel led with 12 service points.
In game five, W.S. Neal won 15-9. Brittany Revel led with 11 service points.
Casey Wilson finished with three blocks and 12 kills. Caitlyn Blackman had one block and 10 kills. Amanda Crawford had seven kills.
UMS-Wright 3, W.S. Neal
In an area game against UMS-Wright Thursday night in Mobile, the Lady Eagles fell 3-0 to UMS-Wright. The Lady Eagles fell 25-12 in game one, 25-11 in game two and 25-15 in game three.
In game one, Sydney Andrews led with six service points.
In game two, Sydney Andrews led with three service points.
In game three, Brandi Deese led with six service points.
Whitney Douglas had two blocks and five kills. Casey Wilson had one block and six kills. Caitlyn Blackman had six kills.
“We knew going into tonight that this was going to be a hard game. We began the game pumped ready and ready to play,” Shelly said. “We came out and got a quick jump on UMS but made a lot of serve/receive errors that hurt us. We had a few rallies and at times we looked real good against them. Now we have to refocus and prepare for them again in the upcoming Area Tournament.”

In the second part of their tri-match with UMS-Wright Thursday night, the Lady Eagles defeated B.C. Rain 25-18, 25-10 and 25-16.
In game one, Megan Pence led with five service points along with five from Sydney Andrews.
In game two, Megan Pence had seven service points and Sydney Andrews led with 10 service points.
In game three, Brandi Deese led with eight service points and Malary Booker had seven service points.
Amanda Crawford had 15 Kills and Caitlyn Blackman had eight kills.
