TRM cross country Lady Tigers take second

Even though it was not a first place finish for the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger cross country team at their latest meet at the 36th annual Pensacola Wildcat Invitational, the team took second place in the event out of 15 teams.
On the boys' side, the T.R. Miller Tigers took 12th place out of 16 teams.
T.R. Miller Tiger cross country head coach Rob Atkinson said he was proud of the personal best records set by some of his runners.
Nelson finished overall first in the event out of 107 runners with a time of 19:38.18.
Youngblood took seventh overall and second for the team and Katie Nelson was 11th and third for the Tigers. Youngblood's time was 20:15.64 followed by 20:52.58 for Nelson.
Amber Nelson took 15th overall with a time of 21:21.70 and Amber Terry finished with a time of 23:55.88.
Carlson finished in 82nd place with a time of 26:27.66 and Taylor Guthrie finished in 83rd place with time of 26:28.61.
Niceville took first place over the Lady Tigers in the meet,
On the boys' side, Brandon Nelson took first for the Tigers and 24th overall with a time of 17:51.56.
Geoff Youngblood was 60th with a time of 19:22.18 and Cole Pruitt took 73rd with a time of 20:14.83.
Nadine Russell finished 76th with a time of 20:41.77 and Christian Carlson was 113th with a time of 26:28.81.
The team was set to run at the Great Muddy race on Saturday in Mobile and will run Tuesday in Pace.
The Tigers will close out their regular season with a race in Milton, Fla. at the Black Cat Invitational on Oct. 25 before having sectionals on Thursday, Oct. 30 in Auburn.
Winners from sectionals meet in Auburn will compete at the class 3A state meet in Moulton on Saturday Nov. 11.
