Summerdale
Mrs. Alice Faye Fuqua, 51, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, after a brief illness. She was a native of El Dorado, Kan., and a former resident of Monroeville and Brewton, before moving to Summerdale. She attended Oak Grove Baptist Church in Frisco City and was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, James (Khristi) Ates of Brewton, and Jerome (Christina) Little of Summerdale; a daughter, Samantha Fuqua of Summerdale; a brother, Houston “Dempsey” Fuqua Jr. of Frisco City; two sisters, LaDonna Pate of Monroeville and Kathy Crum of Frisco City; and three grandchildren, Autem Ates, Austin Ates and Alan Little.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Billy Hodges officiating. Burial followed at Fuqua-Haveard Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
