Arts lovers of all ages are welcome at a special performance of the Montgomery Ballet in Brewton Tuesday - and local dancer Ginny Smith will be the star of the show.
The Brewton Council of the Arts is hosting the performance at 7 p.m. at Jefferson Davis Community College's Woodfin Patterson auditorium.
Smith, who graduated from T.R. Miller High School in 2004, will perform in “Lost: The Story of Carmen.”
The performance will also include classical ballet pieces.
Smith will star as Carmen in the second half of the performance after intermission.
Walker said each half of the performance will appeal to different age levels.
Smith is in her second year with the Montgomery Ballet. She is the daughter of Paul Smith, and English teacher at T.R. Miller High School, and Janice Smith, who works for state Rep. Alan Baker.
Tickets for the Montgomery Ballet are available at the door or by calling 867-2747. Area high schools also have reduced price student tickets.
The ballet is the first of the Brewton Council of the Arts performances for the 2008-09 season.
