JDCC volleyball now 6-20 on year with recent losses

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball team split two games over the week and now stand at 5-12 overall and 2-4 overall in conference.
JDCC dropped a 3-1 decision to Central Alabama before defeating Lawson State 3-2.
In the loss to Central Alabama, JDCC lost game one 25-22, game two 25-15, won game three 25-22 and lost game four 25-19.
Brittney Rogers led the Lady Warhawks with 13 kills and Sydney Boutwell led with 18 digs.
Jessica Johnson led with five service aces and Emily Sandlin led with three blocks.
In the win over Lawson State, the Lady Warhawks had to play five games to get the win, but prevailed 3-2.
Lawson took game one 25-18 before JDCC took game two 25-8.
In game three, JDCC fell 25-22 but took games four and five by scores of 25-19 and 15-12 respectively.
In the win, Rogers led with 12 kills and Lauren Himel led with four service aces. Boutwell led with 21 digs and Sandlin led with two blocks.
In a recent five game stretch, JDCC went 1-4 and now stands at 6-20 on the season.
JDCC lost 3-0 to Faulkner State, 3-1 to Gulf Coast, 3-0 to PJC, 3-1 to Lawson State and defeated Faulkner University 3-0.
FSCC 3, JDCC 0
In the loss to Faulkner State, JDCC fell 25-19, 25-21 and 25-19. Rogers led JDCC with seven kills and Himel led with two service aces.
Samantha Ball had eight digs and Sandlin and Maggie Crutchfield led with two blocks.
GCCC 3, JDCC 0
Against Gulf Coast, JDCC took game one 25-20 before falling in games two, three and four 25-18, 25-18 and 25-17.
Rogers led with 10 kills followed by Lewis and Johnson who led with two service aces each. Ball led with 14 digs and Sandlin led with two blocks.
PJC 3, JDCC 0
Against PJC, JDCC fell 25-13, 25-17 and 25-16.
Johnson led with five kills and Lewis had one service ace. Ball led with 18 digs and Sandlin and Crutchfield both had one block.
LSCC 3, JDCC 1
Against Lawson State, JDCC fell 25-21, 25-20 before taking game three 25-20. In game four, JDCC dell 25-21.
Sandlin led with 10 kills followed by nine service aces from Himel. Ball led with 16 digs and Sandlin had three blocks.
JDCC 3, Faulkner U 0
In the win over Faulkner, JDCC won 25-10, 25-14, and 25-14. Johnson led with nine kills and Himel led with seven service aces. Ball led with 17 digs and Sandlin and Antwinique Harris had two blocks each.
JDCC has three more games left beginning on Thursday at home against Gasden State at 5 p.m.
On Monday, Oct. 27 JDCC will take on Southern Union at home.
On Tuesday, Oct. 28, JDCC will end their season with an away game against Pensacola Junior College at 6 p.m.
