Mr. Douglas Marvin Nicholas, 68, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, in Pensacola, Fla. He was a native of Flomaton, and a resident of Century since last year. He attended the Sardis Baptist Church.
He is survived by a brother, Aubrey Nicholas of Salton Sea, Calif.; three sisters, Faye Kiker and Elaine Saenz, both of Kissimmee, Fla., and Pauline Costello of Winter Haven, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 23, at 1 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Earle Greene officiating.
Burial followed at Sardis Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
