After already clinching the class 3A region 1 championship last week at home with a 49-35 win over the Straughn Tigers on homecoming, and finishing 7-0 in the region standings with their 45-14 win over the Choctaw County High School Tigers, T.R. Miller will host a first-round playoff game on Friday, Nov. 7.
In the first round playoff game, the T.R. Miller Tigers get region two's fourth seed Dale County.
Dale County is currently 6-3 overall on the season and finished 4-3 in their region behind Daleville (7-2, 6-1), Slocomb (7-2, 6-1), and Pike County (5-4, 5-2).
Daleville took the region championship over Slocomb after the Warhawks defeated the Red Tops 37-21 in week six.
Other class 3A region one playoffs participants will be Luverne (6-3, 6-1) claiming the second spot and will take on Pike County at home.
Straughn claimed the third spot in the region and will travel to Slocomb and Bayside Academy took the fourth and final spot in the region one and will travel to Daleville.
If both T.R. Miller and Straughn win in round one, the two teams will face each other in a rematch in Brewton in round two.
The winner of that game is likely to face Luverne in round three. Straughn would travel to Luverne due to the higher region seed and T.R. Miller would likely have their third straight home game if they were to meet up with Luverne in round three.
Luverne and T.R. Miller played to a 14-13 contest in week seven at Luverne.
In class 4A region one, Jackson claimed the top spot followed by UMS-Wright, Thomasville and Clarke County.
Jackson and UMS will be at home in their frist round against Holtville and Opp respectively.
Thomasville will travel and take on Catholic of Montgomery and Clarke County will travel and take on Elmore County.
