Mr. Frederick Coleman Boyce Jr., 57, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008. He was a native of Mesa, Ariz., but was raised in Brewton, and had resided in Birmingham for most of his life. He was self employed as a life insurance broker. He was an active member of the Christs United Methodist Church in Birmingham. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Coleman Boyce, Sr.
He is survived by a son, Coleman Boyce of Birmingham; a daughter, Jessie Boyce of Trussville; his mother, Dottie Richardson of Milton, Fla.; two sisters, Betty Hallo of Pensacola, and Susan Swanson of Buck Hill Falls, Penn.; several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Lynne Fortner of Birmingham.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 11 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel with the Rev. Frankie Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at Bagdad Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Coleman Boyce, Brandon Williams, Tom Hallo, Jim Richardson, Shawn Scott and Mike Harrison.
