Mrs. Fannie Mae McCall Byrd, 70, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, in Brewton, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton. She was a substitute teacher at W.S. Neal Elementary School and a member of Century Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, John Byrd of Brewton; a son, Mark (Gina) Byrd of Mobile; three daughters, Brenda (Jack) Rabon of Arkansas, Debra (Laurence) Patton and Angie Hammac of Brewton; a brother, Williard McCall of Flomaton; two sisters, Ellen Carter of Tennessee and Ann Nelson of Brewton; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Minister Clifford Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
