Mr. Morris M. Stone, 90, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County. He was a member of North Brewton Baptist Church, was a U.S. Army veteran, and a retired vice president from First National Bank with more than 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lillie Hallford Stone of Brewton; and a daughter, Margaret A. Stone of Mobile.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael King officiating.
Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
