Mrs. Amanda Jane Emmons Parker, 42, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton. She was of the Holiness faith and a homemaker.
She is survived by her mother, Jessie Odom Emmons of Brewton; her husband Sammy Glenn Parker of Brewton; a son, Justin Parker of Brewton; a daughter, Samara Parker of Brewton; three brothers, Franklin (Elizabeth) Emmons Jr. of Pensacola, Fla., and Joe (Joyce) Emmons and John Michael (Sandy) Emmons, both of East Brewton; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Greer and the Rev. Eddie Hammac officiating. Burial followed at Catawba Springs Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
