Brewton police are asking for help in locating a fugitive who led them on a high-speed chase last week.
Shonrica Shonta Turner, also known as Teddy, attempted to elude officers after a traffic stop last week, police said.
Davis said Turner traveled north on Douglas Avenue until turning onto Old Castleberry Road.
After traveling a short distance on U.S. 31, Turner abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot.
Davis said a K-9 team from Century Correctional Facility was called to the scene to assist in capturing Turner.
Davis said Turner has several outstanding warrants through the Brewton Police Department.
Davis said the department was assisted in pursuit of Turner by the Escambia County Sheriff's Department, the State of Alabama Pardon and Parole and the Century Correctional Facility K-9 tracking team.
