Mr. David Len Blackwell, 53, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at a Santa Rosa County hospital. He was a native of Phoenix, Ariz., a resident of Century for most of his life, and attended the Baptist church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Colmer Lanier and Margie Lee Blackwell; a broher, Steven Blackwell; and his grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Roxann Blackwell of Century; a son, Chris Blackwell of Wawbeek; two daughters, Christy (Keith) Dumas of Century and Dawn (Gene) Watson of Molino, Fla.; seven grandchildren and a sister, Linda Nixon of California.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Keese officiating. Burial will follow at Flomaton Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Keith Haag, Gene Watson, Jason Blackwell, Dewey Bondurant, Neal Collier and Billy Carver
