JDCC Warhawk hoops fall to 0-6

The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk basketball team fell to 0-6 on Saturday when they dropped a 26-point loss to Bevill State-Fayette 85-59.
The Warhawks were outscored by 15 points in the first half at 45-30 and 11 in the second half at 40-29.
JDCC shot 28 percent from the field at 20-for-71 and was 9-for-30 from 3-point range for 30 percent.
Bevill State-Fayette shot 57 percent from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range.
In the game on Saturday, Tysean Thompson led the JDCC Warhawks with 15 points followed by 10 from Fred Underwood.
Justin Burroughs and DeAngelo Kirkland led with five rebounds and Underwood led with four assists.
Antron Holt and Chase Cornelius led with one block each and Burroughs led with three steals.
The JDCC Warhawks will be back in action on Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25 when they take part in the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College basketball tournament in Perkinston, Miss.
