Mr. David Earl Travis, 53, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at his East Brewton residence. He was a native of Biloxi, Miss., and had lived most of his life in the Brewton area. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Wayne Travis and a step-son, Theodore Bogue.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Travis of East Brewton; two step-sons, Matthew Rabe and Shawn Myers, both of East Brewton; for step-daughters, Michelle Rabe and Tiffany Myers, both of East Brewton, Melissa Barr of Kingwood, Texas, and Rebecca Ellsworth of Pace, Fla.; two brothers, Jimmy Travis of Mobile and Ronnie Travis of East Brewton; one sister, Nora Ann Seegren of Panama City, Fla., and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Skidmore officiating. Burial followed at Beulah Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Andrew Travis, Shawn Travis, Toby Seegren, Rex Seegren, Jason Myers and Jonathan Lewis.
