Mr. J.B. Crawley Jr., 87, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at a Pensacola hospital. He was a resident of East Brewton for 10 years, coming from Century, Fla. He was a former member of Little Escambia Baptist Church, the U.S. Navy and had worked at St. Regis Paper Company. He was a 1940 graduate of Century High School where he played football. He was a member of First Baptist Church in East Brewton, and was preceded in death by his son, Donald Crawley; and two sisters, Ruby Jewel Yaden and Willeene Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Crawley of East Brewton; a daughter, Mary-Jean (Mike) Goolsby of East Brewton; a brother, Bill (Hazel) Crawley of Century; a sister, Betty (Orria) Stuckey of Byrneville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Missie (Harrison) Smith, Brad Crawley, Scott (Amber) Goolsby; and Ashley (Danny) McInnish; and three great-grandchildren, Coutney and Allison Smith and Collin McInnish.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Watts officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Brad Crawley, Scott Goolsby, Harrison Smith, Danny McInnish, Steve Ross and Steve Crawley. Honorary pallbearers were East Brewton First Baptist Church Sunday school class and deacons.
