Mrs. Mary Jewell Massingill Smith, 78, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County, was a homemaker and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Dall of Brewton and Gloria (Gilbert) Emmons of Saraland; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 30, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
