It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing my retirement from the East Escambia County Chapter of the American Red Cross in Brewton/ Flomaton area.
After more than nine years as the chapter manager, and 11 prior years as a volunteer, I have decided that it is time to refocus my energies on my family and friends. During this time, I have come to appreciate this community even more, and I have gained a new level of care and concern for the many clients I have been able to assist through my tenure with the Red Cross and the wondeful community programs we have developed.
We have been through some difficult times - hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, and countless house fires - but through it all, we have managed to take care of the people who needed us the most. It is this I will miss the most - working with the clients, volunteers, and others who have made this a good experience.
I appreciate all the support the people, businesses, governments, and other organizations have provided me through the years, and I know that in the future our paths will cross again. Until then, thank you all for your support, and thank you for a great 20 years with the Red Cross.
