East Brewton businesses will incur additional expenses beginning Jan. 1, 2009, after the East Brewton City Council agreed to raise garbage pick up rates in the city.
After a brief discussion, the council voted unanimously for the increase.
As of Jan. 1, monthly rates for all W.S. Neal Schools will be $300; Fred's and Superfoods will be $100; Minute Stop will be $50; Small businesses will be $30 with full restaurants at $50.
