Mrs. Rosa Madden Merchant, 70, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at her residence in Brewton. She was a lifelong resident of the Brewton area. She had worked at Judy Bond for a number of years and she was a member of the Community of Christ Church.
She is survived by a son, James Merchant of East Brewton; a daughter, Gina Merchant (Kenny Steele) of Bewton; four sisters, Peggy McCormick of Pollard, Betty Clayton of Tell City, Ind,, Myrtle Pugh of Milton Fla., and Helen Wilson of Brewton; one granddaughter, Sadie Ferguson of Indiana.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Ellis and the Rev. Wayne Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
