Mrs. Martha Blacksher Connor, 97, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, in an Oneonta nursing facility. She was a native of Brewton and a resident for many years before moving to Arkansas then to Oneonta in 2003. She was a mathematics instructor for a number of years. She was a member of Alco Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Robert Connor of Shoal Creek; and three grandchildren, Robert Bret Connor, Jr., Jennifer Walker, and George Ryan Connor.
Graveside funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 12, at 1 p.m. at Union Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Caylor officiating and Craver's Funeral Home directing.
