Mr. Donnie Earl Odom, 65, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, in a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Jay, Fla., and a longtime resident of Brewton. He was a member of Edendale Holiness Church and owner/operator of Odom logging.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Childress Odom of Brewton; a son, Johnny (Nan) Odom of Flomaton; a daughter, Eunice Odom (Danny) Moore of Flomaton; two brothers, Eugen Odom of Camden, and Gus (Carol) Odom of Castleberry; and two grandchildren, Yancy Odom and Matthew Moore.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Wilson officiating. Burial followed at Odom Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
