BMS hoops ends season with wins

The Brewton Middle School Tiger ended their season with two wins to finish 8-2 and the Lady Tigers split their final two games to end the season with a 5-5 record.
The Tigers defeated McCall 49-29 at McCall and defeated Earnest Ward 38-24 to finish with their season on a six game win streak.
The Lady Tigers lost to McCall 20-16 to drop to 4-5 and defeated Earnest Ward 17-11 to finish 5-5.
Brewton Middle School Tigers 49, McCall 29
The Brewton Middle School Tigers used a 22-7 lead at the half over the McCall Wolves and an 18-6 run in the third quarter to defeated McCall 49-29.
The Tigers outscore McCall 11-5 in the first quarter and 11-2 in the second quarter to claim the 22-7 lead. In the third quarter, Brewton Middle outscored McCall 18-6 before being outscored 16-9 in the fourth quarter.
Kameron Coleman led the Tigers with 11 points. Caleb Hubbard followed with nine points and Aaron Yuhasz added eight points in the win.
Brewton Middle School 38, Earnest Ward 24
Jacoby Broughton led Brewton Middle School with 11 points as they ended their season with a 38-24 win over Earnest Ward.
Yuhasz and Hubbard added eight points in the win for the Tigers.
Brewton Middle School outscored Earnest Ward 12-6 in the first quarter, 4-3 in the second quarter to hold a 16-9 lead at the half.
In the second half, Brewton outscored Earnest Ward 16-8 to extend their lead to 32-17. Earnest Ward outscored Brewton 7-6 in the fourth quarter, but Brewton held on for the 14-point win.
McCall 20, Brewton Middle School Lady Tigers 16
After leading the whole game and 14-11 heading into the final quarter of play, the Brewton Middle School Lady Tigers were held to only two points while McCall scored nine points to claim a 20-16 win and drop the Lady Tigers to 4-5.
Keanna Thomas led Brewton with eight points in the loss. Audrey Hamric added four in the loss.
Brewton Middle led 5-3 at the end of the first quarter and McCall outscored outscored the Lady Tigers 6-5 in the second quarter as the Lady Tigers led 10-9 at the half.
In the second half, Brewton outscored McCall 4-2 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 14-11 but Brewton fell in the final quarter.
Brewton Lady Tigers 17, Earnest Ward 11
In their final game of the season, the Lady Tigers evened their record at 5-5 as they ended the season with a 17-11 win over Earnest Ward.
The Lady Tigers outscored Earnest Ward 4-2 in the first quarter and 2-0 in the second quarter to hold a 6-2 lead at the half.
In the second half, Brewton outscored Earnest Ward 5-4 to take an 11-5 lead. In the fourth quarter, both teams scored six points as Brewton won 17-11.
Lauren Bradley led Brewton with eight points in the win.
