I am very concerned with the way our small community treats our elderly who are working.
I think we need to be aware of the way that supervisors treat their elderly employees.
I have witnessed this treatment in our stores and businesses. They are not given scheduled breaks and lunches. They are reprimanded in front of customers.
Our elderly employees deserve respect. Please be mindful of them. Many of them work because they have to, not because they want to.
Also remember that one day you may be blessed to be one of these elderly.
