Mr. Anthony Lee Turner, 25, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, in Flomaton from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County. He was employed as an operator in the oil industry and a member of the Little Escambia Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the University of West Alabama where he played football.
He is survived by his father, Roger Turner of Flomaton; his mother, Teri Wesson of Tallassee; a brother, Cody Turner of Flomaton; a step-sister, Mallory Wesson of Crestview, Fla.; his grandparents, Melvin and Patricia Turner and Paul and Everlean Lee, all of Flomaton; and his godparents, Randy and Judy Steele of Flomaton.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Richburg officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Home Holiness Church Cemetery in Flomaton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
