One local business captured a burglary on videotape in the early morning hours of Dec. 23. Brewton Police are searching for the man in the video and are asking for the help of the public.
Police responded to a call of a burglary at Arby's Restaurant on South Boulevard Dec. 23. When officers arrived they discovered a door had been pried open and two safes had signs of an attempted break-in.
Although no merchandise or cash was taken from Arby's Restaurant, the break in is being investigated as a burglary, McGougin said.
Other businesses experienced break-ins with some merchandise being taken, McGougin said. The burglaries are suspected to be related and police are continuing their investigation into the events.
McGougin asks anyone with information on the identity of the person shown in the surveillance photos to contact the department.
Those with information or leads in the cases should contact Sgt. Russell Martin or Cpl. Stephen Ferguson at the Brewton Police Department at 867-3212.
