Mr. David Cyrus Kitchens, 67, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, in a Pensacola hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Oneonta, and a former resident of Milton, Fla., before moving to Brewton more than 20 years ago. He was of the Baptist faith, former owner of Dave's Auto Center and employed as a truck driver with James Smith Trucking.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine B. Mills of Brewton; two sons, David B, Kitchens of Nebraska and James A. Kitchens of Brewton; a daughter, Karen A. Taylor of Brewton; a brother, Aiden Kitchens of Montgomery; two sisters, Evelyn Elliott of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Annell Fisher of Pensacola, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, at 1 p.m. at his home with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
