Mrs. Aline Hinson Rigby, 90, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at her residence. She was a native of Burnt Corn and a longtime resident of Repton. She was a charter member of the Repton United Methodist Church. She had worked at Elmore, Bartley Tomlinson Hardware and Ernestine's Book and Gift Shop for more than 30 years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, McNeil Rigby, Sr.
She is survived by four sons, MeNeil Rigby Jr. of Willa Rica, Ga., Earl (Sharon) Rigby of Molino, Fla., Jimmy Rigby of Excel, and Bo (Becky) Rigby of Peterman; seven daughters, Margaret (Billy) Mims, Emily (J.W.) Harrell, Hilda (Vernon) Baggett and Patricia (Donnie) White, all of Repton, Beth (Tommy) Nall of Cantonment, Fla., Susan Gates of Valdosta, Ga., and Judy (Larry) Booker of Monroeville; a sister, Elizabeth H. Rawlston of Chattanooga, Tenn.; 21 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 11 a.m. at the Repton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Smith and the Rev. John Conn officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing. Her grandsons were the pallbearers.
