The City of Brewton is considering passing on new landfill expenses to customers of the facility in the form of a rate increase beginning Feb. 1.
Customers with small truckloads of debris to dump would pay a fee of $8.75. Other sizes of dump loads would increase up to $120 per 24 cubic yard dump truck or trailer load.
Council members will consider the changes and take action on the matter at the next meeting of the council.
