The Greater Brewton Area YMCA celebrated a grand reopening of its pool Monday.
The operation was directed by Angel Boyd, aquatics coordinator, with hep from the Aquatics program staff.
During the grand re-opening, a prayer and blessing by YMCA CEO Steven Dickey was followed by the cutting of a ribbon by long-time members James Davis, Myrtle Miller, Kathleen Davis and Emily Wesley.
Members of the fitness class were on hand as well as the Aquatic team. After some time spent in the pool, those attending were treated to a breakfast reception in the lower lobby.
Layton said anyone interested in joining the YMCA can get a sneak preview during this month.
