Joyner announces plans to seek District 22 senate seat

Danny B. Joyner of Brewton has announced he will seek the Republican nomination for the Alabama Senate seat in District 22 when Gov. Bob Riley announces the special election to fill the seat the late Sen. Pat Lindsey held.
Joyner is a lifelong resident of Brewton. As a former police lieutenant with the Brewton Police Department and current long-time CEO of Safety &Security Consultants, Inc., Joyner said he is prepared to represent the citizens of Senate District 22.
Joyner said he is a man who will make all of southwest Alabama proud.
Joyner said believes the district must be diligent in supporting local industries and manufacturing and aggressively recruit new clean industries to South Alabama.
Joyner is a member, Sunday school teacher and choir member at First Baptist Church in Brewton and is married to Louise, his wife of 33 years. He has two children Brock (deceased) and Darren Joyner and his wife Daphne and one grandchild, Jeremiah Brock of Repton.
Joyner said he is a Christian with “traditional Alabama values.”
