The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers continued their recent win streak and pushed it to seven straight wins with a 61-37 area win over Bayside Academy Friday night in Daphne.
The win improved the Lady Tigers to 14-2 overall and to a perfect 4-0 in area play.
The Lady Tigers will take on Cottage Hill Thursday night in Brewton and Choctaw County on Saturday in Brewton in area games.
In the game Friday night against Bayside, the Lady Tigers had 10 players score in the win.
Kesha Peterson led the Lady Tigers with 14 points in the big win.
Nakiya Smith followed with 11 points and Keydea Shedrone and Leah Brundidge each had nine points in the win.
Catherine Green added six points and Zykeya Barton added four.
Janel McCorvey, Shaniqua Kiser, Ashley Williams and Mynetra Boley all had two points each.
Shedrone was one point short of having a double-double for the Lady Tigers. She finished with 10 rebounds to lead Miller.
Brundidge had three steals and five assists and Green had three steals.
T.R. Miller led 21-9 after the first quarter and used a 21-3 in the second quarter to hold a 42-12 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, T.R. Miller was outscored 17-9 as Bayside cut the lead to 51-29 but responded with 10 points in the fourth quarter to Bayside's eight to claim the 24-point win.
