The T.R. Miller Tiger varsity basketball team dropped a 58-48 game to Bayside Academy Friday night in Daphne.
The loss dropped T.R. Miller to 2-12 overall and 2-2 in area play.
T.R. Miller fell behind in the first quarter 15-7, but matched Bayside in the second quarter at 12-12 to trail 27-19 at the half.
In the third quarter, Bayside held a 15-12 lead to take a 42-31 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter of play, T.R. Miller outscored the Admirals 17-16 but was not able to overcome the early deficit as they fell by 10 points.
Corey Redfearn led the Tigers with 13 points. Justin Payne followed with 11 points in the loss and Derrick Riley added 10 points.
Terez Lane chipped in eight points in the loss and Wes Dickey and Joe McCorvey each had three points.
