Buy-Rite Pharmacy will be closing its doors late spring or early summer only to open them back up again at a new facility located at the corner of Cloverdale Road and Medical Park Drive.
Danny Cottrell, one of the owners of Buy-Rite, said that site prep began on the new facility in early December.
Cottrell said “with a little luck” they expect construction to be completed in early May or June.
The new facility will measure 2,600 square feet and add a new feature the current location is lacking, a drive thru option.
Cottrell said the new building is to better serve the customers and added features, like the drive thru are there for their convenience.
Cottrell said the design is the same as the store in Ozark, except will have a shingled roof instead of a metal one.
Cottrell said he is looking forward to the completion of the new building, as is the staff.
Jimmy Lynn, one of the pharmacists at the Atmore location, said they are eagerly anticipating the move.
Cheryl Wooten is another pharmacist at Buy-Rite and said she too is looking forward to moving facilities and the better service it will allow for customers.
Buy-Rite Pharmacy has 10 locations spanning throughout South Alabama, Florida and South Georgia. They have been serving the Atmore area since July of 2007.
