Lady Eagles get two wins, end losing streak

After a three-game losing streak, the W.S. Neal Lady Eagles earned a 55-38 area win over B.C. Rain and then picked up their second straight win on Monday night in McKenzie, 31-24.
The wins improved W.S. Neal to 11-9 overall and to 2-4 in the area.

In their final area game of the season, the W.S. Neal Lady Eagles improved to 10-9 overall and to 2-4 with a 17-point win over B.C. Rain.
Freda Folmar led the Lady Eagles with 12 points in the win and was followed by nine points from Rachel Davis.
Megan Andrews and Keyvonnia Kyles had seven points each and was followed by six points from Angelique Askew, Tekshia Jones and Lekiesha Hawthorne.
Breanna Hawthorne added two points.
W.S. Neal led 12-9 after the first quarter and outscored B.C. Rain 15-4 in the second quarter to hold a 27-13 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, both teams totaled 12 points and in the fourth quarter W.S. Neal held a 16-13 advantage to claim the 55-38 win.

The Lady Eagles earned their second straight win with a 31-24 win over McKenzie Monday night on the road.
W.S. Neal led 8-3 after the first quarter, but fell to a 12-8 lead for McKenzie in the second quarter to lead by only one point at the half at 16-15.
In the second half, W.S. Neal held a two-point advantage in the third quarter at 9-7 and then improved their lead with a 6-2 advantage in the fourth quarter to claim the seven-point win.
Kyles led the Lady Eagles with 13 points and Folmar added nine points.
Andrews and Hawthorne each had three points and Davis added two points.
Askew chipped in one point in the win for the Lady Eagles.
The Lady Eagles will take on Flomaton at home on Friday and Frisco City on Monday.
