With companies across the country and south Alabama tightening their belts, PCI Gaming is in a unique position.
PCI, which just opened the multi-million dollar Wind Creek Hotel and Casino in Atmore this month, will employ 1,700 people at its three gaming facilities in the state. Six hundred work at the Atmore facility.
On Friday, PCI announced it will open a cooking school and spa at the resort in July.
PCI gaming board Chairman Keith Martin said the casino has more employees than you might guess just from walking through the facility. “A lot of these jobs are behind the scenes, the ladies that do laundry, the custodians,” he said. “These jobs will help this area grow.”
