B Tigers defeat Flomaton 36-34 to get win

It may have come in the final game of the season, but the T.R. Miller Tiger B team picked up their first win of the season Monday night at home as they defeated the Flomaton Hurricanes 36-34 in the final minute of the game.
The Tigers finished the season 1-11.
Trailing 34-33 with 1:06 left to play in the game, T.R. Miller's Antonio Payne gave the Tigers a 35-34 lead with 42.3 seconds left in the game.
After a Flomaton turnover gave the Tigers back the ball, a missed Tiger free throw gave Flomaton back the ball after a jump ball call with 23.3 seconds left to play. From there, Flomaton's shot missed and Payne came up with the rebound and connected for one of two late free throws with 4 seconds left to give T.R. Miller the 36-34, two-point win.
T.R. Miller used an early 6-0 run in the first quarter to hold an 11-8 lead after the first quarter of play.
Flomaton rallied with six points in the second quarter to the Tigers three points to tie the game at 14-14 at the half.
Flomaton benefited from a 9-0 run in the third quarter to hold a 12-9 scoring advantage in the quarter to claim a 26-23 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Tigers outscored Flomaton 13-8 to claim the win.
Darrion Salter led the Tigers with seven points followed by six from Kameron Winn and Kori Jackson.
Tyler Dehoff added five points along with Payne and Ricky Curry had four points and Caleb Dickey chipped in three points in the win.
The T.R. Miller Tiger B team dropped to 0-11 with losses in their last three games. The Tigers fell to Choctaw County 54-23, Escambia County 54-24 and to Monroe County Friday night at home 63-21.
Choctaw County 54, T.R. Miller 23
The Tigers dropped to 0-9 with a 31-point loss to Choctaw County.
T.R. Miller trailed 7-3 after the first quarter and trailed 20-12 at the half after being outscored 13-9 in the second quarter.
In the third quarter, the Tigers were outscored 17-2 to fall behind 37-14 and then were outscored 17-9 in the final quarter.
Atmore 54, T.R. Miller 24
The Tigers fell to 0-10 with a 20-point loss at Atmore.
The B team Tigers was outscored 14-4 in the first quarter, 11-8 in the second quarter, 17-8 in the third quarter and 12-4 in the fourth quarter.
Darrion Salter tallied 10 points in the loss and Jackson added eight points.
Monroe County 63,
T.R. Miller 21
On Friday night at home, the Tigers fell to 0-11 with a 42-point loss at the hands of the Monroe County High School Tigers.
The Tigers were outscored 10-5 in the first quarter and 19-0 in the second quarter to trail 29-5 at the half.
In the second half, Monroe County outscored the Tigers 15-6 to hold a 44-11 lead and added 19 in the fourth quarter to T.R. Miller's 10 to win 63-21.
Salter led the Tigers with 15 of the Tigers' 21 points.
