Mrs. Allie Mae Bartlett Hornbeak, 87, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, at her daughter’s home in Saraland, after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Lenox and was a homemaker. She attended Lenox Baptist Church and she was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Hornbeak and a son, James W. Hornbeak.
She is survived by two sons, Loyd Ray (Joann) Hornbeak of Semmes, and David Hornbeak of Lenox; a daughter, Martha (Marlin) Banks of Saraland; a sister, Dorothy Langham of Appleton; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, Thursday, Jan. 28, from 12 p.m. until the 1 p.m. service.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Boatwright officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Methodist Church Cemetery in Lenox with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
