Mr. Edgar Allen “Eddie” Stringer, 35, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, in a Pensacola hospital. He was a corrections officer for the State of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his sister, Melinda “Mindy” Stringer and his grandparents, Agnes Pugh, Ernest Barlett and John Edgar Stringer Sr.
He is survived by his father, Ed Stringer of Castleberry; his mother, Peggy Stringer of Castleberry; paternal grandmother, Ollie Mae Bartlett of Castleberry; maternal grandfather, Allen Pugh of Evergreen; a sister, Melissa (Jeff) Madden of Alabaster; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. at London Baptist Church near Castleberry. Burial will follow at London Baptist Church Cemetery with Cope Funeral Home directing.
