Ms. Debra Kay Burch, 48, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, in a local hospital. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the American Legion.
She is survived by eight brothers, Douglas McArthur Burch of Range, Clarence Albert Burch of Wing, Albert Burch Jr. and Rufus James Burch, both of Brewton, Fred Burford Burch of Castleberry, Kenny James Burch of Saraland, Jesse Monroe Burch of Flomaton, and David Leon Burch of Repton; five sisters, Mary Blackwell of Range, Dorothy Tuberville of Excel, Carolyn Faye Presley of Brewton, Lisa Pontiff of Destin, Fla., and Susan Diane Andrews of Repton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Lomax Lunsford and the Rev. Bobby Carnley officiating. Burial followed at Hartwood Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
