Mrs. Ella Rebecca Briggs, 89, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, in a Park Ridge, Ill., hospital. She was a native of Evergreen and had been a resident of Schaumburg for the past 15 years, coming from Evergreen. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Evergreen and the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a step-son, Adolph Briggs of Mansfield, Ohio; three step-daughters, Katenia Briggs, Ruby Briggs, and Ivey Briggs, all of Michigan; and one sister, Alberta Abner of Georgiana.
Graveside funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 15, at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Kidd officiating and Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
