The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers are headed back to Birmingham this week for the state tournament.
The Lady Tigers handily won the class 3A South Regional title Saturday afternoon with a 44-22 win over Slocomb.
On Wednesday, team will play Glencoe, which beat Altamont 44-33 Saturday morning at the Northeast Regional tournament. The game tips off at 7 p.m. at Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center.
Nakiya Smith led the Tigers with 11 points, and Zykeya Barton added 9. Barton was the tournament MVP and made the all-tournament team along with Ashley Williams.
