Mr. Cecil Burch, 81, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, in a Monroeville hospital. He was a native of Escambia County and he had been a resident of Lenox for most of his life. He worked as a dredge operator for a gravel company for many years and was a member of Range Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudis B. Burch.
He is survived by three sons, Wayne Burch of Lenox, Thomas Earl Burch of Springhill, and Wade (Rhonda) Burch of Peterman; four brothers, Odell Burch, Albert Burch and Robert Burch, all of Range, and Linze Burch of Monroeville; two sisters, Irene Griffin of Brewton and Ruby Bell of Mobile; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 2, at 10 a.m. at the Range Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Boatwright officiating. Burial followed at Hartwood Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
