Runs-a-plenty|Lady Tigers beat Hillcrest and W.S. Neal to start season 2-0

Miranda Anderson, Brandi Kennedy and Taylor Guthrie threw a combined one hitter for the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball team as they picked up a 14-3 win over Hillcrest in their first game of the season Tuesday in Evergreen.
The Lady Tigers struck out 13 batters, allowed four walks and committed three errors in the win.
Anderson pitched three innings allowed one hit. Kennedy and Guthrie pitched one inning apiece and allowed no hits.
The Lady Tigers had 10 hits while Hillcrest had seven errors.
White also complimented his pitchers.
Kennedy was 3-for-3 with a home run, a triple and a walk. Kennedy also had four RBIs.
Natalie Neal and Guthrie both were 2-for-4. Neal also had a homerun in the 11-run win.
T.R. Miller 22, W.S. Neal 0
The Lady Tigers improved to 2-0 on Thursday and dropped the W.S. Neal Lady Eagles to 0-2 with a 22-0 romp in East Brewton.
The Lady Tigers scored six runs in the first inning and batted around, and then platted four runs in the second and third innings to claim a 14-0 lead.
The Lady Tigers then added eight runs in the fourth inning to win by 22.
Anderson and Kennedy combined for no-hitter in the win.
Anderson picked up the win for the Lady Tigers. Anderson went two innings and allowed one walk while striking out four.
Kennedy relieved Anderson in the bottom of the third inning and allowed no runs, walked one and struck out four in the big win.
The Lady Tigers pounded out 16 hits in the 22-run win.
Natalie Neal was 3-for-5 with three RBIs to lead the team. Kennedy was 3-for-5 with two RBIs.
Janel McCorvey was 1-for-3 and Taylor Guthrie was 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Amber Nelson was 2-for-2 with three RBIs.
Leah Brundidge was 2-for-5 with three RBIs and Emily Waters was 1-for-4. Leigh Margaret Bostic was 1-for-4 with one RBI and a double and Alex Baggett was 1-for-3 and Miranda McNamara was 1-for-1 with one RBI.
Sarah Lee and Dee Dee Palmer both had one RBI each in the win.
Jade Danley took the loss on the mound for the Lady Eagles. Danley went the complete game for the Lady Eagles.
