Eagles take second at JV tourney

In the W.S. Neal JV tournament on Saturday in East Brewton, Flomaton took the championship and the W.S. Neal Eagles claimed second place.
W.S. Neal beat Northview 2-0 in their first game and lost to Flomaton 6-5 in their second game of the day.
For the T.R. Miller Tiger JV team, T.R. Miller lost to Flomaton in game one 5-4 and lost to Northview 7-3.
In the tournament finale for both teams, T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal were tied 3-3 at the end of the first inning when the game was called due to rain.

T.R. Miller 4
Caleb McAnally had a two-run homerun in the first game for the Tigers but T.R. Miller lost 5-4. McAnally was 1-for-2 with a homerun and two RBIs.
Christian Lodge was 1-for-3 with one RBI and Dylan Bell was 1-for-3 with a single. Curtis Glaize was 1-for-2 with a single and an RBI and Bryant Jernigan was 2-for-2 with a double, Shawn Odom was 1-for-2 with a single and took the loss on the mound. Odom went 4 1/3 and allowed seven hits, three earned runs, struck out 11 and walked two.
Tyler Dehoff pitched the final 2/3 of an inning and had two strikeouts.
Flomaton scored two runs in the top of the fifth to get the win.
Northview 7,
T.R. Miller 3
T.R. Miller fell to Northview 7-3 in the second game of the tournament.
Lodge was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Dylan Bell was 2-for-2 with an RBI at the plate for the Tigers.
Dixon was 1-for-1 with a double and a walk and Tyler Nelms was 1-for-1 with an RBI and a single. Hunter Franklin was 1-for-1 with a double.
Dehoff took the loss on the mound for the Tigers. He went two innings and allowed four earned runs on six hits, two strikeouts and no walks.

W.S. Neal 3
Bell, McAnally and Lodge all had RBIs for the Tigers in a 3-3 tie against W.S. Neal after one inning.
Bell and McAnally both had doubles in the game. Conner Denton pitched and allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits.
Stats for W.S. Neal’s game were not known as of press time.
