Little League opening days planned

Brewton Little League will have their opening day ceremonies for the 2009 on Saturday, April 4, beginning at 10 a.m.
Brewton Little League has three teams in the 9-and 10-year-old league and four teams in the 11-and 12-year-old league.
Opening ceremonies for the 9-and 10-year-old teams will begin at 10 a.m. with the 11-and 12-year-old teams having opening day at 4:30 p.m.
Team photos will also be taken on this day for all teams involved.
The following is a schedule of events for Brewton Little League’s opening day and pictures:
10:00 a.m.    Opening Ceremonies – 9-and 10-year-olds
10:30    a.m.    Red Sox vs. Cubs
12:00    p.m.    Lunch
1:00 p.m.    Cubs vs. Reds
2:30 p.m.    Reds vs. Red Sox
4:30 p.m.    Opening Ceremonies – 11-and 12-year-olds
5:00 p.m.    Rays vs. Phillies – Field B

8:00 a.m.        Red Sox
8:20 a.m.        Cubs
8:40 a.m.        Reds
9:00 a.m.        Rays
9:20 a.m.        Phillies
9:40 a.m.        Twins
10:20 a.m.        A’s
The East Brewton Little League will have their 11th annual opening day jamboree Saturday, April 4 at the Little League fields.
Opening day will see 19 total games played with games beginning at 9 a.m.
Fourteen teams are scheduled to play in the jamboree.
Games will begin at 9 a.m. on new field one, 9:15 a.m. on old field two and 9:30 a.m. on the Babe Ruth field.
Team pictures will also be taken on Saturday.
The 11-and 12-year-old Yankees and White Sox will begin games on the new field at 9 a.m. followed by the 9-and 10-year-old Red Sox and FL1.
At 11:30 a.m., softball blue will take on FL and lunch will follow the 11:30 a.m. game.
After lunch, the 9-and 10-year-old Cards will take on the Cubs and at 2:30 p.m. the 11-and 12-year-old Yankees will take on the White Sox with the 9-and 10-year-old A’s taking on the Cubs at 3:45 p.m.
Softball gold will begin play against FL 1 at 9:15 a.m. on old field No. 2.
At 10:30 a.m., the 9-and 10-year-old A’s will take on FL 2 at 10:30 a.m. and the 11-and 12-year-old Yankees will take on FL at 11:45 a.m.
A 1 p.m.  to 1:30 p.m. lunch break will be held after the Yankees game and softball blue will take on Gold at 1:30 p.m.
At 2:45 p.m., softball blue will take on FL 3 and at 4 p.m. the 9-and 10-year-old Red Sox will take on the Cards.
At 9:30 a.m. on the Babe Ruth field, the 7-and 8-year-old Marlins will take on the Astros followed by a 10:45 a.m. T-ball game between the Reds and the Angels.
At 11:30 a.m., the 7-and 8-year-old Braves will take on FL followed by the T-ball Angels taking on the Blue Jays at 12:45 p.m.
At 1:30 p.m., the Marlins will take on the Braves and at 2:45 p.m. the T-ball Blue Jays will take on the Reds.
The 7-and 8-year-old Astros will take on the Braves in the final game at 3:30 p.m.
The picture schedule for the day will be the Yankees at 8 a.m., White Sox at 8:15 a.m., Softball gold at 8:30 a.m., Marlins at 8:45 a.m., Astros at 9 a.m., Red Sox at 9:15 a.m., A’s at 9:30 a.m., Reds at 9:45 a.m., Angels at 10 a.m., softball blue at 10:15 a.m., Braves at 10:30 a.m., Blue Jays at 10:45 a.m., Cards at 11 a.m. and the Cubs at 11:15 a.m.
