JDCC softball splits

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk softball team split their last four games to improve to 13-16 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
JDCC lost their first two games, a 5-0 loss and an 8-5 loss to Faulkner State in Bay Minnette before defeating Enterprise-Ozark 5-4 and 4-3 in Brewton on Saturday.
Game one: FS 5, JDCC 0
JDCC was held scoreless in game one as they fell by a score of 5-0.
Ashleigh Allgood took the loss on the mound for JDCC. Allgood went six innings and allowed three earned runs on six hits, walked three and struck out four.
Jessica Morris was 1-for-3 with a double.
Game two: FS 8, JDCC 5
Faulkner State scored six runs in the first inning and added another in the second inning and one in the sixth inning after JDCC scored four in the sixth inning to win 8-5.
Carla Ray took the loss on the mound for JDCC. Ray went 2/3 of an inning and allowed four earned runs on four hits, walked one and struck out one.
Aleah Payne was 2-for-4 with four RBIs in the loss.
Game one: JDCC 5, EO 4
After two losses to Faulkner State, JDCC picked up a 5-4 win over Enterprise Ozark to improve to 12-16 and 2-3 in conference play.
Kayla McKnight grabbed the win on the mound for JDCC.
McKnight went 5 2/3 inning allowing no earned runs (four total) on five hits and struck out three.
Kristin Myers was 3-for-3 and Morris was 1-for-3 with a double. Payne was 1-for-2 with three RBIs in the win.
Game two: JDCC 4, EO 3
After Enterprise scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game at 3-3, JDCC scored one in the bottom of the eighth inning to grab a 4-3 and improve to 13-16 and 3-3 in conference.
Allgood picked up the win as she went the complete game allowing no earned runs on seven hits, walked one and struck out six.
Allgood was 2-for-3 with one RBI in the win.
