Imagine a night at the movies with your family, right here in Brewton.
That’s what this year’s Leadership Brewton class hopes to accomplish with a fund-raising project to buy a projector and sound system for use at outdoor events in Brewton and East Brewton.
Class members envision using the projection system for movie nights in the park, Daniel said.
The estimated cost of the project is $20,000.
Each year, the chamber of commerce-sponsored Leadership Brewton class chooses a project to help meet a local need. Past projects have included bulletproof vests for local police officers, turnout gear for firefighters and a garden at West Gate Nursing Home.
The class has set up several sponsorship levels for the movie theater system. Individual sponsorships include:
Corporate sponsorship levels include:
A Diamond sponsorship, given to the individual or corporate donor who gives the largest sum, will receive all recognition plus naming rights of the theater system and logo display for the life of the system.
Daniel said he is optimistic the class will be successful with the fundraiser.
Class members are Daniel, Garrett, Bryan Davis, Kevin Duffy, Alecia Glaize, Mark Manning, Lisa Nordmeyer, Lisa Tindell, Molly Ruzic and Heather Walton.
